Stockholm Chamber Choir

The Stockholm Chamber Choir (SCC) was formed in 1981 and has since been a prominent and very active choir in Sweden’s capital. Independent in its organisation, SCC performs a wide range of music through its collaboration with many different cultural organisations and institutions. Florian Benfer has been the ensemble’s conductor and artistic leader since 2012.

SCC's sacred and secular repertoire is broad, including Early Music, traditional Swedish romances (the so-called 'körlyrik'), contemporary music, jazz, and larger classical works for choir and orchestra. We perform regularly throughout Stockholm and act as artist-in-residence at Ulriksdal Palace Theatre and the German Church in Stockholm’s Old Town. Through the years we have performed in Austria, Canada, Russia, Italy, France and Cuba and have received excellent reviews in Sweden and abroad.

Stockholm Chamber Choir’s work has been documented on CD and radio recordings.

We have exciting projects ahead of us and in connection with these, we have the opportunity to take on more singers!
